Fight Of Faith Conference July 29-30, 2019

The Fruit of Righteousness

James 3:18

The theme for this year’s Fight of Faith conference is taken from James 3:18, “The Fruit of Righteousness.” James writes this letter to Jewish Christians that were “scattered abroad” or dispersed throughout the Roman empire. As such, they were well acquainted with the “true religion” of their fathers but were not practicing “pure religion” before God the Father and were therefore increasingly friendly with the world. As a result, James confronts his audience with truth and how it should give shape to a maturing faith in Christ expressed in daily life and relationships. How does faith respond to trial, resist temptation, hear God’s word, relate to social groups, speak, and make plans for the future in light of God’s providence? We hope to answer these questions and more at this year’s conference so you don’t want to miss it.

Each day there will be four forty-minute presentations from the book of James by different ministers. Both days will include a panel discussion with the opportunity for questions. While the target audience is young adults, all are welcome. A responsible guardian 18 or older must accompany any child under 13.

In addition to biblical teaching, there will be time for singing, fellowship, and outdoor recreation with meals served at the church. To register click here.
